September's Art

The lighthouse painting was done off a picture I took while visiting Cape Disappointment this last March. It was taken of the North Head Lighthouse. The raven painting was done for the Raven Art Show in Anchorage Alaska at Arctic Rose Gallery. I have included links to both items on my etsy below. "Afternoon sun at Cape Disappointment"

My husband and I visited Cape Disappointment in March this year. It was windy and wonderful! The sky reflected off the beach in the morning like a mirror. We had a great time and this painting is from one the pictures I took while there.

Summer Paintings

I haven't updated this in quite a long time! So I'm just going to throw on some the pieces I've either started or finished this whole summer.

March & April

A couple pieces I have done over the last two months. The first is "Spring Succulent" 8x10 oil, includes natural color frame. Second "Threads of a Fig" 8x10 oil, frame not included. Ive recently done mostly smaller paintings because I like being able to finish a piece in a couple weeks otherwise it's like putting a book down for too long. I forget where I was in the story.

Week off in Feb

I had this first week of February off. Tried to be productive with painting as much as I could. I actually got two paintings done. This bicycle one which is from a picture I took while in Osnabruck, Germany. An 11x14 oil on canvas. There was an alley that I just found really interesting so I popped in to take a quick photo while we were on our way home. Turns out the building is from the 1800's and there is a plaque on the wall in the picture I didn't notice before. Even the alleyways in Europe have character! The next painting is a still life of some figs. They are so pretty with their purple, red, and pinks. Plus tasty to eat!

"What the tide brings in"

Started this painting last Saturday. I still need to darken the foreground and add more highlights but it is almost finished. It is a 20x20 oil on canvas.
